Lucius Andrew Tyson, Jr., a U.S. Army Veteran (Vietnam) was born on June 8, 1945 and passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012. He was employed as an Auditor with the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) in Los Angeles, CA. and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in New Orleans, LA. In 1984 he became the first Black Chief of Loan Management and Property for FHA Insured Multi-Family Housing. Lucius was a member of St. Raymond/St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, St. Raymond Council Number 78, Knights of Peter Claver, Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club since 1976 and became a member of the Hall of Fame in May 2000 and Honorary Member in November 2002. He also attended St. Monica Elementary Catholic School, Holy Ghost Catholic School and graduated from St. Augustine High School Class of 1968 and Xavier University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Son of Arabella Asemore and the late Lucius Andrew Tyson, Sr. Former husband of Judy Sherman Tyson. Proud Father of the late Lucius Andrew Tyson III. Brother of the late Edna D. Tyson and the late Dorinda Squires. Also survived by other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also Priest and Parishioners of St. Raymond/St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.
